Why Feldenkrais?

We were all born with an innate sense of curiosity and trust in our sensations.
Each small discovery— a turn of the head, a shift of balance, a moment of stillness—
shaped how we learned, thought and felt.
But on many different levels and for many different reasons,
that innate wisdom was not nurtured.
Instead, we were taught to seek expert advice when the first signs of stress appeared.
The Feldenkrais Method® invites you to study your subjective experience
through movement and awareness— like you did as a child.
When we slow down and notice how we move, our brain gets very curious.
It starts doing what it does best: updating patterns—
opting for more efficient, graceful and responsive ways for organizing action.
Since our first movement teacher was the floor,
Feldenkrais lessons encourage us to return there often, if possible.
